AI Ad Hooks Generator
Last updated: October 21, 2026
Hook quality controls early attention. AI hook generation lets teams systematically test new opening angles every week.
- Generate hooks by pain point and persona
- Pair each hook with matching CTA variants
- Retain top-performing structures for future campaigns
Hook types, with examples to adapt
| Hook type | Example opening line | Works well as |
|---|---|---|
| Problem callout | "If your coffee always ends up on your shirt, keep watching." | Talking |
| Question | "Why does every travel mug leak?" | Talking |
| Watch it work | "Watch it work in real time." | Demo |
| Comparison | "Cheap vs expensive, side by side." | Talking or Demo |
| First impression | "Okay, what is actually in this box?" | Unboxing |
| Myth vs fact | "You don't need a new routine. You need one step." | Talking |
| Objection | "Is it worth the price? Here's what you get." | Talking |
Hooks to avoid
- Anything where the AI actor claims to have used the product for a period of time or got personal results. An AI actor must not be presented as a real customer.
- Claims you cannot prove, such as health or income results.
- Clickbait the video does not pay off. A hook that promises something the ad never shows wastes the attention it earned.
From hook to finished video in EchoUGC
- Put the hook you want to test in the first line of your brief, then a few lines about the product.
- Pick the video type that fits the hook: Talking, Demo or Unboxing.
- Generate. EchoUGC writes the script, hook first, from your brief, casts an AI actor with native lip-sync and renders a 9:16 1080p video with captions, usually in under 10 minutes.
- For the next hook, write a new brief. Each brief makes one finished video, as many as your credits allow.
A video of up to 45 seconds is 100 credits, so testing ten hooks is about 1,000 credits, which fits the Scale plan ($199 a month, 2,200 credits). For how to read the results, see the creative testing framework.
Frequently asked questions
How many hooks should I test per product?
Start with a few per angle and keep the rest of the ad the same, so the result tells you which opening worked.
Does EchoUGC write the hook for me?
Yes. EchoUGC writes the whole script, hook first, from your brief. To steer it toward a hook you want to test, put that hook in the first line of the brief.
Can I make a video for every hook?
Yes. Each brief makes one finished video, so make one brief per hook, as many videos as your credits allow.
